Who can use the Mounjaro savings card in Canada?

Lilly's page says the program is available to Canadian residents prescribed Mounjaro KwikPen. It also says exclusions and exceptions may apply, so read the card terms when you enrol.

Is the Canadian savings card the same as the US one?

No. Eli Lilly Canada runs its own Canada-only program, with its own rules. US coupons and terms do not apply here.

Can I use the card with private insurance?

Lilly's page describes a savings card regardless of insurance coverage, plus help with private insurance forms. Your plan's own rules still apply, so ask your insurer how it treats manufacturer savings.

Does the card cover other pen formats or other Lilly drugs?

Lilly's page says the program is available for KwikPen only. We haven't confirmed whether any other Lilly products are included.

Mounjaro savings card in Canada (2026 guide)

What the program is

The mymounjaro Savings and Support Program is run by Eli Lilly Canada, the maker of Mounjaro (tirzepatide). It has three parts according to Lilly’s page: a savings card, private insurance support (help with insurance forms and understanding your coverage), and free digital resources.

This is a manufacturer program. We don’t have any financial connection to it, and listing it here isn’t an endorsement of Mounjaro or of the program.

Who qualifies

Lilly says the program is for Canadian residents who have been prescribed Mounjaro KwikPen. It marks the savings card with a note that exclusions and exceptions may apply and that it is available for the KwikPen only.

Two things follow. You need a prescription first, and Mounjaro’s approved use is type 2 diabetes, so the prescriber makes that call for you. We also haven’t read the card’s full terms, because Lilly’s enrolment site blocked our automated reading on 3 October 2026. The terms are where the exclusions are spelled out, so read them in full when you enrol.

How much it covers

Lilly publishes the card terms at mymounjaro.ca. We haven’t confirmed the current amount, so we don’t state one. We’ll add a figure with a checked date once we’ve read it on Lilly’s own page. Third-party sites quote different numbers and conditions, and we don’t copy them.

What we can say is how it’s structured. The card is a discount applied to what you pay at the pharmacy. It doesn’t change the drug’s price at the pharmacy, and it doesn’t change the dispensing fee a pharmacy sets. You still need quotes from a few pharmacies, as explained on the Mounjaro price page.

How to enrol

Get a prescription for Mounjaro KwikPen from your prescriber.
Sign up at mymounjaro.ca. Lilly says you can sign up anytime.
Read the card terms, especially the exclusions and how long the card stays valid.
Show the card, or give the pharmacist the details, when you fill the prescription.
Keep your receipt and ask your pharmacist what was applied.

How it fits with a private plan or a provincial plan

Lilly says the card applies regardless of insurance coverage, and the program also helps with private insurance forms. Private insurers can have their own rules about stacking manufacturer savings with plan benefits, and we haven’t confirmed those rules for any insurer. Ask your insurer before you rely on both.
