Our methodology
We use the same method for every price and every provider, publish it here, and date every figure so you can see how fresh it is.

Prices
- What we record. For each price: the pharmacy, city and province, the drug and dose, the drug price, the dispensing fee (the pharmacy’s charge for filling a prescription), the total, the supply it covers (for example, per 4 weeks), the date we checked and how we checked it.
- How we check. We ask pharmacies directly or read their published prices. We don’t copy prices from other comparison sites.
- What “lowest price we found” means. The lowest total (drug price plus dispensing fee) among the pharmacies we checked in that province on that date. Another pharmacy we didn’t check may charge less.
- Staleness. A price more than 14 days old is marked “being re-checked” until we confirm it again.
- Gaps. When we haven’t checked a drug in a province yet, the page says so plainly. We don’t estimate.
Prices exclude any amount your drug plan pays. To estimate what you’d pay, check your coverage first.
Coverage
We read each provincial plan’s formulary (the list of drugs a plan pays for) and the conditions attached. A drug a plan pays for without extra steps is marked covered. One that needs special authorization (your prescriber sends the plan a form first) is marked partial. One the plan excludes is marked not covered. Every coverage answer cites the plan document and its date.
Comparing providers
Online providers that all offer “GLP-1 prescriptions” give very different care. We classify each one into one of four care models, based on what it actually does in its sign-up flow and terms:
| Care model | What it is |
|---|---|
| Prescription service | A short assessment and a prescription. Renewals on request, little or no support between visits. |
| Pharmacy program | A pharmacy assesses, prescribes or coordinates a prescriber, and dispenses. |
| Multi-service platform | GLP-1s are one of many treatments under one account. |
| Metabolic program | Care built around weight and metabolic health: lab work, scheduled follow-ups, often nutrition or coaching support. |
We document every provider on the same ten fields, in this order: care model, first step, who prescribes, lab work, follow-up, support between visits, how you get your medication, other treatments offered, cost model, and provinces served. A field we haven’t confirmed says “Not yet checked”.
Order. On pages that list several providers, we show the providers serving your province first, then list them alphabetically. Whether a provider pays us never affects the order, the layout or what we write about them. Providers that pay us carry a “Partner” label on their links.
We never score providers, give star ratings or name a “winner”. We describe who each care model suits and what you give up.
