About getGLP1

We help Canadians work out what a GLP-1 medication will cost them, whether their plan will pay, and which kind of online care fits their situation. Every number on this site carries the date we checked it.

Why we built this

People considering Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro or Zepbound in Canada run into the same three walls: prices that differ from one pharmacy to the next, coverage rules that live in plan documents most people never see, and a growing list of online services that all say “GLP-1 prescriptions” but deliver very different care.

We read the plan documents, check prices and go through provider sign-ups ourselves, then explain what we found in plain language.

What we promise

  • Every figure is dated. A price, fee or coverage answer without a “Checked” date doesn’t appear on this site. When a figure is more than 14 days old, we mark it as being re-checked.
  • We show our working. Each fact cites where it came from: a Health Canada product monograph, a provincial formulary, an insurer’s published rule, or our own check of a provider’s sign-up.
  • We describe care, we don’t crown winners. Providers are sorted into four care models and documented on the same ten fields. We say who each one suits and what you give up. See our methodology.
  • We’re open about money. Some providers pay us when you sign up through our links. That never changes prices or the order we list providers in. See how we make money.
  • We correct mistakes in public. Updated pages carry a “What changed” line. See our corrections policy.

Who runs getGLP1

getGLP1 is independent and privately operated. We are not a pharmacy, a clinic or a drug manufacturer, and we are not affiliated with any manufacturer. Health pages are reviewed by a named, licensed clinician before we ask search engines to index them; see our editorial policy.
