Privacy policy

What personal information getGLP1 collects, why, how long we keep it and your rights under PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25. We collect very little and never sell it.

Effective 3 October 2026.

getGLP1 (“we”) is independent and privately operated. This policy explains how we handle personal information on getglp1.ca under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for people in Quebec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25).

The short version

  • You can read every page on this site without giving us any personal information.
  • We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count visits. We don’t use advertising cookies or build profiles of you.
  • We never sell personal information.
  • We don’t collect health information through this site. Please don’t send us your medical details.

What we collect

When you browse. Our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data needed to deliver pages and block attacks: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.

When you click a partner link. Links starting with getglp1.ca/go/ record that a click happened, on which page and when, so we can reconcile commissions. We don’t attach your name or email to these clicks. The provider’s own site then applies its own privacy policy, including any tracking it uses to credit the referral.

When you email us. Your email address and whatever you choose to tell us, used only to reply and, for corrections, to verify the fix.

If we add email alerts later. We’ll ask for your consent at sign-up, collect only your email and province, and let you unsubscribe in one click. This policy will be updated before that feature goes live.

Why we use it

To deliver and secure the site, understand which pages are useful, reconcile partner commissions, answer your messages and correct errors. We don’t use personal information for any other purpose without asking you first.

Who we share it with

Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: Cloudflare (hosting, security, analytics) and our email provider. Some of these process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We don’t share personal information with telehealth providers, pharmacies, insurers or advertisers.

How long we keep it

Server logs: up to 30 days. Analytics: aggregated counts only. Partner click records: up to 24 months, for commission reconciliation. Emails: up to 24 months after the conversation ends, unless a correction record needs to be kept longer.

Cookies

We don’t set advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site from abuse. Provider sites you visit through our links set their own cookies under their own policies.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent. People in Quebec also have the right to data portability and to be informed of automated decisions (we don’t make any). We’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information.

Safeguards

Access to the little personal information we hold is limited to the people who need it, protected by strong authentication, and encrypted in transit.

Privacy contact

Our person in charge of the protection of personal information can be reached at privacy@getglp1.ca.
