Accessibility

getGLP1 aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. How we design for accessibility, known limitations, and how to tell us about a barrier on the site.

We want everyone to be able to compare GLP-1 prices and coverage, and we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we do

  • Text and controls meet a 4.5:1 contrast ratio in both light and dark themes.
  • Coverage status is never shown by colour alone: each status has a word and an icon.
  • Prices are real text, never images, so screen readers and translation tools can read them.
  • Every interactive element has a visible focus ring and a tap target of at least 44 by 44 pixels.
  • Wide tables scroll sideways inside their own container so the page doesn’t.
  • The site works without JavaScript.

Known limitations

Some comparison tables are wide and need horizontal scrolling on phones. Linked documents from provinces and insurers, often PDFs, are outside our control and may not be accessible.

Tell us about a barrier

If something on the site doesn’t work for you, email hello@getglp1.ca with the page address and what happened. We’ll reply within five business days and, where we can, provide the information in another format.
