Felix is an online platform where you complete a health assessment in your own time, a licensed practitioner reviews it, and a Felix pharmacy ships any prescription to you. Weight loss is one of many conditions on the same account.

How we checked: Read Felix's own published pages (program, pricing, FAQ, terms) on 3 Oct 2026. We have not completed a sign-up.
We read Felix’s weight loss page and FAQ on 3 October 2026. This page explains how the service works as Felix publishes it. The comparison table and provider card show the same ten fields for every provider, so we do not repeat them here.
Felix describes four steps: an online health assessment, a treatment plan, delivery, and ongoing care. You create an account and answer medical questions at your own pace, and Felix saves your progress so you can come back to finish.
A practitioner then reviews the assessment, usually within 48 hours according to Felix. It uses what it calls an asynchronous model, meaning you and the practitioner do not need to be online at the same time, and they reply by secure message in your account. For weight loss, Felix says the practitioner may ask for a phone or video call, and may sometimes ask for further testing before deciding.
The practitioner, not Felix, decides whether to prescribe. Felix says every practitioner must be licensed in your province.
Felix separates the visit from the medication. The visit fee covers the practitioner’s review. Follow-up visits are used for progress check-ins and for renewing or adjusting a prescription, and Felix says they are scheduled when your provider recommends one. You can message your care team between visits, and the account includes a weight tracker and an injection reminder tool.
The medication is billed by the pharmacy, with a fill fee for each drug at each refill. Current fees are in the provider card above, with the date we checked them. Felix also notes that the visit fee is generally refunded if a visit is denied, with exceptions that include weight loss for reasons other than clinical ineligibility. Read the exact terms on its site before paying.
If you have private or provincial drug coverage, Felix says it can bill your plan directly once you upload your benefit card, but the visit itself is not covered. Which drugs your plan covers is a question for your insurer. See our coverage guides.
Felix operates its own pharmacy network, with one pharmacy serving Ontario and the Atlantic provinces and another serving British Columbia and the Prairie provinces. After approval, Felix says the pharmacy fills the order within two to three business days and ships by Express Post, which usually takes another two to three business days. Shipping has no charge, and the package comes in plain packaging. A signature may be required.
Felix lists a repeating refill schedule that depends on the drug, from roughly monthly to every three months. Refills prompt a check-in visit when a prescription is nearly used up.
Felix lists service in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Saskatchewan. You must be 18 or older for weight loss.
We classify Felix as a multi-service platform: one account covers weight loss alongside many other conditions, and the weight loss flow uses the same assessment-and-message format. It also works much like a prescription service for this treatment, because support after the prescription is messaging plus follow-up visits as needed. Felix does not publish a lab requirement for weight loss or a dietitian or coaching service, so we have not recorded either. Read our care models guide and providers overview to compare it with other services, or see how we check in our methodology.

This page is not a recommendation and not medical advice. Ask a prescriber or pharmacist whether a GLP-1 is appropriate for you.
Not for most assessments. Felix says most are done by secure messaging, though for weight loss the practitioner may ask for a phone or video call (Felix website, read 3 Oct 2026).
Not always. Felix says renewals are paired based on availability, so you may not be matched with the practitioner who wrote your first prescription.
Felix says its pharmacy can bill a private or provincial plan directly if you upload your benefit card. It says visit fees are not covered by insurance.
Felix says its service does not replace your primary care provider.
